@escapetosaltspring I live in view Royal,,Let me know if ya want to meet up and go. I have a small truck. One big shaft I recently found is about a 15 min walk from where I park the truck...I have weekends off.

You can still find traces of the old townsite of you know where to look today. I swear the main ore seam is on the other side of the mountain however. They just never did get that far yet.

Youre a sick phuck. Capitalist phuck. Not funny, our history is not for sale.
I hope you get creamed by an over sized logging truck

It went down hill pretty fast from all the party action it saw from I guess the then grad students. ha ha ..... From a place that claimed to be Vancouver islands third largest town site at the trun of the 1900s with hotels and general stores, its kind of sad that everything was allowed to just rot away. It would be cool to see your plans for the area! Cheers to bad all my posts get posted here out of order :-(
I have found a few hidden shafts up there, the longest bout 200ft straight in.In total i have found 8 mine shafts...I still go up and look for more periodically.Too bad not much left of the town though...Any one want to go up together one day ?

It is one massive ore seam the mining companies have it all staked.

Good news I have not been creamed by a oversized logging truck. The thing is there is no history left up there. It has been torn out. If you go up there you will not find anything. the only thing left is the titles on the map. Thanks for the comment Capitalist. I am a very proud Capitalist and if I could I would sell tickets to my own funeral after I was creamed by the over sized logging truck. Have a great day thanks for the comment. Cheers Scott

thanks for your insight into Mt Sicker. It is very interesting place. This summer I'm planning another trip. Too bad there is nothing left of the town.
