Judo throws are impractical against most opponents. Been fighting for a long time and evey Judo opponent I've fought has not been too good...just an observation though.

Wrong. Kataguruma in some variation is seen often enough in pro MMA fights. Often in comparison to other throws ofcourse, so basically every 5th fight I assume

MMA is quite a different matter. Without a gi, leg picks are one of the few grapple points and even then, only until they get sweaty. In Judo, it's just too easy to stiff arm a deep reach like that by holding on to the lapel or wrist. It does get used occasionally in competition, often chained from a bad foot sweep or drop seoinage. I just got sick of seeing kids try to do it in sparring because they thought it looked cool, only to flop over from bad execution.
