Turntable playback recording of the B-side from Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song/Hey, Hey, What Can I Do" 45 RPM 7'' Stereo vinyl record.
Released in the United States in 1970 under the Atlantic label (Catalog# 45-2777).

Notice: This is a revised version of the clip that I originally put 2 years ago on my old channel ( http://www.youtube.com/user/younghifi ).
The main difference is that this version has been recorded better, especially on the audio side, as the sound from the original clip had a lot of audible distortion and background noise.
To those who have seen the original clip: I hope you like this version better than the old one :)

Technical information:
Vinyl record played on a Technics SL-1600mk2 turntable with a Audio Technica AT440MLa cartridge. The sound signal from the turntable was fed into a Sansui 9090DB amplituner's phono stage and then redirected to a Cakewalk UA-1G USB Audio Interface, connected to my laptop PC, on which it was recorded, cut, encoded to a 320kbps CBR MP3 file (with Audacity) and then later merged and sync'ed with the video (with VirtualDub).

There was no sound filtering done. This is the raw audio feed.

The video portion of the clip was recorded with a Camera EX-Z850 digital camera.
Sound and video were recorded at the same time.

  • Makes me want to get the Zoso album.

  • @englishmanrocks This was actually released at the time of LZ's third album, the one prior to "Zoso" :)

  • Kids these days will never appreciate the physical / emotional attachment to their music like we did back in the day where listening to your favorite music was an interactive experience, kicking back reading the liner notes - and carefully done as all it took was a little scratch and your prized album became junk.

  • @lesterawilson3 Couldn't agree with you more :)

  • 4:03 ... is it just me, or is that more then the cd boxset version?

  • @PrankZabba I didn't compare those versions "head to head", but I guess it's possible that the original single has one or two seconds more content ;)
