This is funny because it's true.
In the 80's there was a lot of middle class 'politically aware' performance art crap like this. You often saw them supporting unfunny 'right-on man' stand up comics and at festivals of differing variety. Vic and Bob's stuff were the antithesis of that shit.

Yes, there really is no grey area with Vic & Bob, I showed it to two friends, one of them was in stiches and the other bored beyond belief, never heard anyone say thery're 'all right'.
