http://www.blenderjuicerdepot.com This is a comparison of the Blendtec ICB7 and HP3A, Vita Mix, and Waring blender containers. It shows the advantages and disadvantages of the different containers
@oicuhave1 that was only the commercial version of Vita-Mix and VM no longer uses that container anyway. Starbucks still canceled Blendtec and converted all of their shops back to Vita-Mix across the country. Blendtec was providing Starbucks with free machines but they chose to pay for a better machine rather than get an inferior one for free.
Tell me something, why didn't Blendtec make the top ten out of the top 100 blenders in the last issue of Consumer Reports of blender comparisons? June issue of 2010 was the last time they compared the top 100 blenders and Blendtec didn't even show up. I guess you are the only one who feels Blendtec is better than Vita-Mix. Well you and your sorry videos. Oh in case you didn't know Vita-Mix was rated #1 again as they always do in Consumer Reports.
Vitamix must pay more than $11 million for infringing on a competitor's patents.
So if vitamix is so special WHY did they copy Blendtec? I would have to think its because the wildside jar BLENDS so much better.........now this is not me saying this its the actions of vitamix..........Hands down Blendtec is much better.
Lies lies lies Blendtec lies; 3 hp motor?? 1500 Watts?? There are 746 watts per hp. Blendtec should be a 2238 Watt machine if it had a 3hp motor. They have a 1500 watt motor which proves it's only 2 hp. Culinary Institute of America said the most important thing to a chef in the kitchen next to their knives is the Vita Mix. You guys are delusional. No objective report or magazine rates Blendtec very high, only these brainless videos.
@PE425 You can quote any stupid Blendtec video you want to but you are ignorant of the facts. Why do you think Starbucks came back to Vita Mix? Because Blendtec sucks. The employees had to constantly shake and smack the Blendtec container to overcome the air pockets. June issue last year Consumer Reports rated Vita Mix number one out of the top 100 blenders. Blendtec didn't even make the top ten. I don't need a fake video just use outside sources to do the testing. Consumer Reports.
@agapemom, A blender that has to have a tamper will always be inferior to a blender that never needs one. Also, a Blendtec jar can be filled just as high as a VM. Moreover, if you are arguing for more capacity, Blendtec offers a 96oz jar, whereas VM only offers 64oz.
@agapemom, You are comparing apples to oranges. The Blendtec blade is longer so of course, I would expect VM's RPMs to be higher. Unless the blades are the same size and dimensions, RPMS don't mean squat. It is the SPEED of the blades that matter. VM's blade spins up to 240 MPH, and Blendtec's spins up to 300 MPH. Moreover, Blendtec achieves this speed with a longer, wider, and more massive blade than VM.
@josephtapper, you are talking out of your ass. Just check out Vitamix vs. Blendtec #316 for a side-by-side comparison. Blendtec blows the doors off of VM so easily, it is pathetic, all with less time, effort, or a silly tamper for manual assist.
@JCRamirez2 How is 37,000 RPMs inferior to 28,000 RPMs??? How is having a tamper available to you if you need it inferior to not having one? How is a full capacity 64 oz. container inferior to a container that can't be filled to the top? Why do the world's top chefs use the Vitamix as opposed to the Blendtec? Why is Vitamix rated #1?
