The much-anticipated climate deal at Copenhagen hangs in the balance following a deadlock at a key meeting in Barcelona. African delegates are boycotting crucial talks on an international climate treaty accusing developed countries of insincerity. The African countries want their richer counterparts to commit themselves to heavy cuts in greenhouse gas emission and provision of funds for developing countries.
