a lot of people are so stupid. joy division has absolutely nothing to do with interpol. both joy division and interpol are my favorite bands and have been my favorite bands for years. i questioned the same thing too when i was first into interpol. but with research, they did not have anything to do with them. agreed, paul banks sounds very similar to ian curtis. well, i wouldn't say VERY similar, but i can see why people get confused. but please don't compare, it's fucking annoying as hell.

And believe me from those bands the only that i haven't the opportunity to see was Joy Division which i consider awesome, but unfortunately the band finished soon, Ian's death was a terrible waste,too sad for all fans. Interpol i 've seen recently, they are very, very nice and if it sounds like Pixies, The Cure, Smiths,Paul's voice sounds like Ian's voice,whatever..., it only proves that they are making good sound ,great songs and beautiful lyrics with a wonderful voice included

yes, a lot of people are so stupid. like me when my daughter put the cd on top of a stack of blanks and i thought it was that stupid "not really a cd" they always put on top, figured it was lost and ordered an new one. I gave the old one to this asexual kid when the case got all smashed up. something REALLY stupid: "United States Patent, no. US6,323,242 B1", column 11, #7, Problem No. 2, Sibutramine patient 99." Until today (04/23/09) I had not heard this song - was listening to Pandora Radio and got a whiff of this for the first time - one of those songs that just comes out of nowhere: you don't need to "get it" on multiple listens, it just hits you first time, and this thing hit me damn hard.

And to think I didn't give a toss about Interpol once upon a time. Shame on me.
