You don't need to be certified to fix computers. You need experience and patience. I know many technicians who are certified with almost every certification and don't even know how to install a memory stick. LOL

wow first things first never go to a douchebag like geek squad shit am not even certified and i can fix your PC or laptop for $120 includes all your backups, important tune up software all of the updates and office for $120 now thats just me of course you can do it your self look around youtube LOL!! and you can fix it not hard to fix a computer i was fixing computers before i even went to school so i mean just fix it yourself!!! or pay!! but never geek sqaud!!

Wow things have sure changed nowadays! In my day a quick solution would be to take a baseball bat to the jocks knee caps who tripped me and then take what cash he had on him and get my PC fixed at Geek Squad!

@road89 I completely agree, computers like Dell or Gateway are almost designed so that if something breaks, you gotta buy and entirely new computer. If you get a custom built PC, if something breaks, it can be replaced just as easily as it was installed.

The best Computer is to build your own computer, I build 6 computers over the last year and rebuild and repaired a lot of computers and only charged small fees to friends and Free to family. I like work on computers its fun and i learn new things all time. Stay Away from Best buy! lol
