Video of some very nice Schindler traction elevators at the International Tower at the Peachtree Center in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. These elevators, in some parts, have Schindler's european bells, that have 2 different notes when going down. Quite nice! These elevators operate on a Miconic (TM) VM controller. Prindiz would be proud!

  • Am I the only one who gets ticked off by Schindler and Otis's North American models where the floor indicators aren't in sync with the beeping?

  • I believe that it's an option, because I've seen Otis and Schindler elevators do both, even ones built in the same year.

  • I mean how the beeping often lags behind the display, and how even if you're going straight in a Gen 2 you often get inconsistent frequencies of beeps even though you're traveling over 20 floors in an apartment building.

  • It's an option - compare the Otis elevators at the Bank of America plaza to the Otis Elevators at the Westin. They are the same model, yet the B of A ones lag.

  • what is a "X"?

  • Express elevator.

  • I went up this tower - just went to the mall level. Then got a nice kickout since my cousin stepped out on 27 in front of a security guard.

  • That indicator looks like a Dover elevator indicator.

  • Wow weird floor indicator in the hall.....Needs to be upgraded to an LCD though, CRT = gross.

  • Those are Epco "PIP" buttons. The cars are custom-made, too. These are actually modernized Dover elevators.
