I understand your suspicions. It just seems like this prophecy is actually coming true that's all.

So you are no stranger to Christianity. It's difficult to have faith in a world full of suffering and in a God who is invisible. All I can say Phrail is if you truly want to know the truth, all you have to do is ask God. Then look carefully for Him in your life. Most people don't really care to know because they are enjoying their sin. Do not let that become an obstacle when finding truth. Peace

I was raised Southern Baptist and remained a firm believer for 20+ years. At some point, you have to question why the prophecy you're CHOOSING to believe in is the "real prophecy," instead of "just another prophecy." I've confronted death since dumping faith, and while it's a shitty thought, you know what? That's reality, and in you choosing to NOT confront that reality, you're also taking on all this other bullshit baggage that is completely unnecessary. Not sure how you find happiness in that.

I can sympathize with you Phrail. False prophets are a dime a dozen. It the true ones you have to find. I can't imagine going through life as an atheist for there is no hope in your world. I can never convince you otherwise. However, try to remember my above post. When this does happen and the world enters into the 7 year Tribulation period, you will know and it might not be too late for you to accept Christ into your heart and making sure not to receive the "MARK".
