A Quick Visit To Saddam's House

No Shocking video here....just a quick trip to the Saddam Palace that is inside the perimeter of BIAP (Baghdad Int'i Airport). A few of us from 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines took the trip in 2005 shortly before leaving this hellhole. This is only a portion of the property, my cheap-assed mini cam had no inside shooting capaballaties; so what you don't see is the most maddening---Chandaliers more valuable than houses that most of us live in, etc....And yet 99% of his country lived in poverty. I may upload a 2nd "outside" vid later on.

If only the us revomed saddam n then left to leave iraqsi to run their country most ppl would have said well done usa but this was not the reason for the war OIL control power n to save the US$ where the reasons saddam was no good of courase But now is far worse the reality

The best part of the Al Faw palace was the assortment of fishing rods right outside the 4's office window. The view was cool and I expected to see some Mangar swimming around but I didn't see anything...Thanks for adding this. It brought back memories!!

@missfashioneye The Iraqi government still retains this building (which is not in the Green Zone, but on the opposite side of BIAP, if you are at all familiar with the layout).

@Oregon696969 Oh yeah, it was definitely a POS mini recorder, a cell phone would have probably done much much better :)
