In a radio interview, Reagan Jr. states that during his youth, he had always thought religion made claims too incredible to believe, and he questioned the morality of those who professed to be Christian. Ron Jr. also questions the morality of the bible and God based on what he learned. Until age 12 he attended Sunday school (Presbyterian), and one day proclaimed to his parents that he wasn't going to go to church any longer. Ronald Sr. and Nancy didn't try to force him, though they tried to convince him otherwise. Ronald Sr. had the pastor of his church talk with Ron Jr. - years later the pastor said he was embarrased to be asked to do this. Ron Reagan wonders: if God created the universe who created God?

I'm sorry to be the one to break this to ya, but your terribly mistaken.

You are attempting to make an assertion that claims everyone on the planet is a theist.

This is clearly untrue. I certainly don't believe in you're god or any other.

The fact that you seem to think I do is disturbing. Why on earth would I believe in "god"?

And what do you mean in my heart? You know what a heart is right?

  • @PhillipMcLoins

Your vs You're - That's your fucking point. Oh wait, you mentioned something about a sensible argument. That "atheism is a religion, it has its own set beliefs and ideologues". What is the religious organization Atheists belong to? What are the set beliefs? Are the people not believing in Santa Claus part of a religious organization as well? You have no answers, just one dumb conclusion. Perhaps you should bow down and pray to your invisible sky daddy for the answer.

  • @TheSeer101 But it IS foolish. Just because you criticise religion doesnt mean youre trying to prove your "deep intelligence". Some people just aren't afraid to candidly express their true feelings about it. And your position on the God issue has nothing to do with liberalism or conservatism, its just an opinion on a single issue

  • He seriously should run though. He should be a little more optimistic, he could easily get elected in california or washington, being some of the more liberal states.

  • He should have explained that to Daddy... as it was GOD who told him to run!

  • @paramusica3 Actually no one in Columbus' day or for a good while before (eg Ancient Greece) thought the world was flat, its a popular misconception. most believed it was oval or spherical, Columbus himself thought it was pear shaped, so he was actually more wrong than the majority. Either way, your point is invalid.

  • have faith people.. remember Ron Reagan Sr was a democrat before he was a republican. Jr is just lost. so just pray for him.

  • A four year old "as we know them today", if you believe this, you are a liberal lol Ron Reagan is a man who has a great need to show the world that he is truly a genius. I am myself an atheist, but to go around trying to prove your deep intelligence by speaking of the foolishness of religion is odd to say the least. But such is the course of a liberal

  • Everything Ron Reagan Jr. says can be boiled down to "I'm anti-everything my father was so stupid leftists will accept me and pay me to come on their shitty shows that no one watches. Pissing all over my father's legacy is the only way I can pay the bills since I'm a complete failure at everything I've ever done."

  • Had the spanish read their bible, they wouldnt have had to travel so far to discover that the world was round. THE BIBLE SAID SO FROM THE BEGINING

    ISAIAH 40:22

[It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof [are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

  • Gen 19:30 And the dwelt in a cave, he and his two dauthers

God made you in his image:

2 ears: that you may listen twice before opening your mouth

1 nose just above your mouth: to smell before you eat

2 eyes: the luxury for 180 degree vision

eyelashes to protect you from the suns rays

1Brain: the mother board, the network

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

    Jesus, loves you.

  • I started with the "who created the creator" question back in the mid 60's. I have studied science for years and find more consistency than I ever have found in the bible (yes, I have read it - have you?).

I walked away from religion more than 40 years ago and don't miss it a bit though I treasure my integrity and dedication to making the world a better place.

We can use more like Ron.

We can also use more like Jack Layton (look him up) who just passed away today.
