I appreciate this series. I tried drawing a portrait by myself (no training) and it looks good but not great, so I went online looking for a guide or instruction and found this and there are lots of great tips. For example, I need to get one of those erasers so I can stop using my finger or Q-tips to smudge :) or the proper way to sharpen the pencil. I look forward to many more tips as I finish the series Thanks! :)

I really love this. Sometimes it's really hard to get out of the perfectionist thinking and just go with the flow, especially with portraits. I found your perception really opens me up and has so far changed my viewpoint.
