This video shows a portion of the two day Swiftwater Training for Spring 2010. We are practicing putting people into the water in a controlled way, getting them to learn to belly dive and keep their heads up. Cross armed to protect their face upon entry, they work the pillows and tongues of the water over to a big rock in the middle where they turn and swim upstream to the back of the rock. Then resting, they take over signaling while the rotation dives back in and swims to a safe zone or eddy on the side of the river. Lines are tossed in to those needing help (most) and the cycle continued.
