I always end up outside the reentry cone and can't come back to it. If the vertical situation graph was something like Altitude X Distance, it would be easier. My intuition doesn't play very well with Total Energy (Ke+Pe) X Distance.
Can you tell me how to correct vertical trajectory?

@SF1010 you must keep successive altitude "floors" in order to reduce speed. no too fast to avoid burnout and to brake enough not to end in ocean. try to stay in the up-half of the GPC cone to keep a little extra velocity. i noticed that if you stay in the dead middle of the cone your final speed is a bit too low and you can more easily get off-course.
