@faizaney it doesnt depend on your weight unless you're severely under- or overweight. it depends on your kidney function ('clearance') which can be determined by a lab test. in general, if you're healthy you should be able to donate. but there's another question, which is whether you and your brother are compatible, which carries too far to discuss here. talk to your doctor if you're serious

@kameelmackle If it's in the US, the donor does not have to pay any sort of medical expenses. Travel expenses are not covered by the recipient's insurance, but there are programs out there that help offset the cost of travel, lodging, and other expenses that may occur during donation. You won't have any medical charges, including evaluation and post surgery appointment for about a year, maybe more.
