  • easier way is 123 *10 = 1230, then add 123, you get 1353, and you can do it in a second.

  • Does the 'SpeedMath' only work with multiplication? And is there other 'shortcuts' for such subjects areas like Calculus, Algebra or geometry?

Anyway, thanks for the video upload, this is really intresting, and I will when the time is right teach my daughter these skills.

  • i think to do multiplication like we learned much better, u confused the whole population girl lol

  • 13 x 12 Add the last digit in 12 (which is 2) to 13 So 13 + 2 = 15 Then multiply the last digit of each, 3 x 2 = 6 then put that behind the 15 to get 156. If it's 14 x 16 Add 6 to 14 to get 20 4 x 6 = 24 Carry the 2 over the 0 and you get 224 ^That's about 100 times easier, and it works with a lot more numbers than just 12. You're welcome.
  • or just use a calculator

  • sounds like Baljid from phineas and ferb!

  • easier way is place 1st & last digit same in there respective position i.e 1__3 then add 2+1=3 & 2+3=5 thus d answer is 1353

  • @PJKonsultan Thats amazing speed math

    you have some mistakes

    0 7 5 8

    8+0=8

    5+8= 3 (remember 1)

    7+5+1 = 3 (remember 1)

    0+7+1=8

then 8338. Hey guy, try to but your phone number times 11 and do it in few seconds, trust me!

  • @9308323

I agree, the method from the video makes it seem more complicated than it really is.

  • @PJKonsultan

Obviously 7,12,13,8 would be rewritten to become 8338 because we are using the decimal system.

  • PJKonsultan has a point, very good on showing the math too! TonyC1029's version is much better, his method comes up w/ the correct answer to the 758 * 11 problem also.

  • how about 758 * 11 ?

    0 7 5 8

    8 + 0 = 8

    5 + 8 = 13

    7 + 5 = 12

    0 + 7 = 7

write it, becomes, 712138... wow.... but the correct answer is 8338... how to explain it, sweetheart?

Thumb up if you feel my opinion is right...
