Black 5's on the Central Wales Explorer, 03/07/10.

The Central Wales Explorer on the 03/07/10 was hauled by Black 5's 44871 and 45407 from Crewe through Wales. Several shots, the first (out of sequence) is the water stop at Llandrindod Wells and the second shows the train belting through Prees.

The next is a shot at Church Stretton, almost got caught out there!! The last is a shot at Knucklas Viaduct, the vegetation had grown a bit which hampered the shot. A good day out in the sunshine, thank to Puffernutterlou for the company.

Great videos! I've always admired the British for how they preserved their great trains. Unfortunately in the USA this is not the case. I live in Chicago the railway center of the USA and there is not one steam locomotive that comes here on a regular basis.

@Trainbrain1949 Thanks, alot of people put in many man hours to keep these and all the other locos running on the mainline, sometimes for nothing, they do a sterling job. Hats off to them! Plus, the owners!!

Its a shame a great city like Chicago doesn't have a service, it would do very well.
