AR15 Review and Choosing the Best for You

A video describing the AR15 I used in some of my AR15Targets.com 2-gun videos. This video focuses on what features and "cool stuff" I chose when choosing an AR that suits my needs. I think most AR's these days are pretty much the same, it mainly depends on how you want to trick them out for what you need and/or think is cool to you.

The oil noted in this video is in a tiny bottle that fits pretty much anywhere you have storage in the AR. I am using the smaller of the two Purple Haze bottles sold at http://gunlube.blogspot.com

I highly recommend adding a bottle or 2 to your AR.

@MommyBird10 They are bot equally good. I think it boils down to what one do you like the looks of. There is slight different features between the 2 as well that you may want to consider.

hi i have a shotgun. im interested in buying an ar 15 from redjackfirearms i was just curious what type of special premits i'll need? im not really interested in shooting the gun more or less just putting it up on my wall thanks~

@rsmvmakerz If you are in the US, any rules are going to be up to the State. In almost all cases there should be no special permits.

@07350zhr If a lower is marked as a "pistol" then it can only be a pistol. In other words you can have what ever length of barrel on it but you must not have any stock on it. Only a pistol grip. If you put a stock on it then it will be classified as a Short Barrel Rifle and you are in violation. Check with the actual AFT rules because I am rectal extracting on this and may be wrong :) $850 is a lot of money to leave in your truck if some little punk decides to break in. I think they are cool

@nictaylor00 full auto.... ive been checking out the bushmaster carbon 15 pistol. if its called a pistol is it considered a pistol???i have a cwp and would like to carry it in my truck like i do my pistols. ive seen that the carbon 15 bushmaster "pistol" is only 850 at my local store ive heard alot of good about bushmaster but im stuck on if its a pistol or not??thanks for your help

@07350zhr For the money, check out Delton. I've seen many of their rifles and the quality is great and the price is right. What does FA stand for?

which ar15 should i get i dont want to spend over 1000 but i want one thats not gonna have alot of problems and i wanna be able to buy a bunch of accesories and all that good stuff. do you have any suggestions? i wanna be able to have FA also. thanks!!!

@bogie89 Thats the one. If I was in the market for an inexpensive rifle, that is the way I'd go. If you decided you did not like it, you can always sell it too. Like I did with that ISSC M22 pistol, I had it for a couple of weeks and decided I did not like it, then sold it.

@nictaylor00 I heard about plum crazy, those are the polymer lowers right? That would be pretty cool with a del-ton upper as far as price goes i'm not trying to spent a furtone. I'll be watching out for your videos, thanks for the advice

@bogie89 IMO, pretty much all lowers are the same. There are slight differences in quality I'm sure, but it is mostly in aesthetics like logos and such. but I have no brand loyalty. Search the internet for a gun store called RGUNS. I bought a couple of SHARPS stripped lowers last year for $55 each. They seem fine. Last I looked they had some $65 lowers from another brand. Also, look at PLUM CRAZY. I have a review on that lower coming soon. $130 out the door for a complete lower!

Is there anything wrong with the Del-ton lower? I don't have the know how to assembly a kit myself and it seems like everyone on youtube has the del-ton kit but not a full rifle from them. Looking to get my first Ar-15

magpul or any ergo that feels good to you. I'm always moving my hand with standard grip trying to get comfortable. I guess finding one that is comfortable and keeps you from moving your trigger finger hand is what should be best for the shooter.

I like everything about the ar in the vid except the torture device otherwise known as the standard pistol grip. Too many options out there to stick the standard one for me.

For my AR, I don't put anything on it to look cool. Whenever I pick it up I pretty much make it look cool :D
