@SSFMP Just ignore comments like those, where's it obvious the person has little clue what he's talking about. Digital samples as opposed to... natural? Does he mean analog samples? Who knows? Plus, the big giveaway is always when people refer to warmth while not knowing or understanding that warmth has a specific definition in the context of audio processing.

no vst is the best its just different. different recording styles, available options in the vst engine, different articulations, how many mics, and different players. i personally like kontakt 5 orchestra samples and EastWest. and in my experience, ill always have to adjust the sound to get it the way that i want. ultimately its up to you and how you use it that makes it the best for you.

Man can you tell me how you program it.I don't have a sustain pedal

@SoAandFriends exactly! you can make a "digital" signal sound "warm" without audio processing. the only people i've known to complain, really, are the people who can't mix good and think they need bigger, better, more analog, more digital, ect. i mean i know i am not at the level of mixing that i want to be, nor do i brag on what level i am at, but i DO know that the ratio of mixing skills versus equipment favors mixing skills over equipment by a long shot. Just my Opinion. lol :)

@JamesRoneyMusic I agree on most, can you name those two products? im looking for some real (most realistic possible at least) sounding strings on a vst.
-
@Hewleri By the looks of the screen behind Kontakt there, I'd say Sonar. Probably 8.

I want this video on my S660 unit.

@JamesRoneyMusic add a good reverb to it and it makes a world of difference.. Im surprised these actually sound very real compared to some others.. theres alot of things you do to make it rea... Imperfections.. bow noises ect.. also velocity makes a huge difference.. seriously.. It's all about the mixing.. and thanks for the demo SSFMP

Hey man..i''m in the same boat. I dont have a sustain pedal either. I cant find a way to start it without having one...
Sounds very computerized and stiff. There is a work around for that if you want to go the distance. The patches you showed in this demo sounded like digital samples rather then natural. The lack of warmth is a big problem with most digital samplers as I only know of two products that can truly fool the ear. There were lots of digital glitches in your loops, possibly you had some clipping going on?

@JamesRoneyMusic You want to elaborate on how VST is not digital? Of course they're digital as it's all on a computer...however the samples are actual recordings from a live symphony with live players. The clipping is from skipping the load frames so I could fit as many samples in the YT 10m video limit. Maybe it sounds computerized because...it's done via a computer?

@CRAZYBOY1984777 you mad bro? and I agree the SOLO instrument sections from EW are about all that I would use them for. As for strings, LASS, Cinematic Strings, Hollywood Strings or nothing. L2 process audio effects and I never used EW out of the box without altering the sound, sorry.
