Book TV: Jonathan Metzl, "The Protest Psychosis"

Dr. Metzl documents the alleged finding of an increased incidence of schizophrenia in black men, but he argues that the link was fabricated during the 60s and early 70s to undermine the Civil Rights Movement. The event is at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

By contrast, the average African American has as many AR gene CAG repeats as the average rapist. One study found that blacks have 10 times as many of the ultra-violent 2R allele of the violence gene MAOA. Blacks also tend to have more violent allele of DAT1, DRD2, and DRD4. Blacks have lower cortisol and cortisol spikes and higher testosterone spikes, estradiol, and SHBG, all of which contribute to aggressiveness.
