jeepers man..there is certainly no dearth of pretty love songs that are sweet and sort of force u to spill yer guts out and display a fine tone and lyrical insight....u know ,the alto is the ARTISTIC horn man...but here's one...A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE...learn the story(lyric} and play it like u mean it...maybe blow LOTUS BLOSSOM by billy strayhorn...i could name u a jillion , but make that little alto play purdy man! and good luck.....p.s. another is A FLOWER IS A LOVESOME THING.

Well Spotted. Love song eh hmmm. what do you suggest. Do you know Diana an Art Pepper song. No one has played that on You tube yet it would be a nice one to transcribe. Crazydaisydoo plays a few Art Pepper things but never really gets it down right. He kinda gives off a commercial feel. What do you think. You choose the song and I'll learn it. However, Im not a pro. I do have a day job so it may take a while.

Who said I was. Music is simply a hobby with me. Art (painting) is my real love. Thoes guys should be a lot better than me. However I would have plonked for Francesco Cafiso myself. I don't like Han. I think he is horrible.
However, none of them would live with Cannonball Adderley. Perhaps they should listen and learn.

sounds like you have checked out cannonball a lot. i hear a lot of cannonball lines played almost verbatim. sounds good man. keep on playin!

Thanks Xcrezyx. You are a pretty good Alto player yourself. You are right of course Cannonball and Bird both great. I bet you don't recognise the song this conposition is based on though (Clue - Cole Porter).
