A LITTLE LOVE GOES A LONG WAY

Wendy Robbins created a video titled A LITTLE LOVE GOES A LONG WAY about Sunflower Kids and submitted it to the We the World Video Festival!

A Little love goes a long way this short video inspires, motivates and activates compassion to become an activist personal journey of Sheva Carr and a group of street kids and orphans in Nicaragua. She loses these children during the war and finds them 12 years later.

We would love your input and ideas about other ways we can use this video for raising awareness and funds!

The faces of the children you see here at the beginning of this letter are part of a school we opened in the last year in Managua, the capitol city of Nicaragua, near the abandoned Cathedral where I first met Jorge more than 20 years ago. This school has been launched with the same services we offer in our school 3 hours to the north where many of you have been sponsoring individual children: * Psychological counseling * Daily meals * Clothing * Basic Education * Basic Medical Care

I am from Nicaragua. Few years ago I went to Esteli where I met some children in a park. I talked to them and I found out that they spend nights in any where. Parents send them to the streets to find something to do to get money and food. It is sad that we live in USA and have too much, and these children don't have anything. I'm planning to go over there in winter to try to help, to make at least a small difference. Thanks for the video. I am sending it to some friends in this country.
