Puresmoker.com Protege' First Impressions

so I decided to go ahead and get this uploaded a little sooner than i had planed. Happy now Casey?! :)

I do want to point out that i did pay for this device , and Puresmoker.com gave me their usual outstanding customer service and speedy shipping.

I'm a firm believer in doing First Impressions and then doing a followup and final review after i have a chance to spend some practical time with the device.

So first impressions?

PURE RADNESS. I did end up taking it with me to my rock show that night and in performed like a champ the whole night well into the next morning , and into the following afternoon without so much as a slight drop in performance.

the size is really amazing , it feels very VERY solid and the button is nice and spongy with the perfect amount of resistance. It is a touch heavier than any other device i have , mostly because it's made of stainless steel.

also a bit of warning to those who are going to use the Protege' with their existing Puresmoker passthrough adapters. Like i said the Protege' is STAINLESS STEEL , and the passthrough adapters are aluminum. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out that stainless steel is a harder metal than aluminum. If you force the adapter from your passthrough onto the Protege' you will strip the threads right off of the adapter , so BE CAREFULL! if it feels wrong or too snug STOP! , i have swapped out the adapters a few times with great caution , but i have a feeling the 510 adapter will not be leaving my Protege' on a regular basis.

it hit's great and just feels nice in the hand , the fit and finish is nearly flawless with the only exception being the top of the button housing has some pointy corners. I have also noticed that because of the way the 510 adapter is made , the draw become a little more "stiff" when using the Protege' due to the shallow notches cut out on the battery post.

i really want to test the limits of this device so i will report back in 1-2 weeks on how it performs out in the real world

the protege' has become my everyday device , i also bring along a KR808D-1 (Nebula , Vaporking) to swap out flavors during the day.
