The Creator God is the ONLY being in the universe with the right and power to judge mankind for their works (thoughts, words, & deeds) sentencing their soul to either eternal joy or eternal punishment.

Thus, it is very healthy and wise to fear a being with that much power over the outcome of the eternal destiny of our soul! In reverent fear, we should seek every day to DO those things that are pleasing in His sight, so that one day we will hear Him say, "Well done, my GOOD and faithful servant!"

@lifeishooey This is one of Satan's biggest lies he's been able to weave in today's churchianity. The phrase "believe on the One whom He has sent" means to "believe THE WORDS the one whom He sent SPOKE". HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! And His words were God's words, always teaching us to love (obey the 10 Love Commandments). As soon as you understand this, it is AMAZING how you can reconcile ALL scripture verses. @vyperius Hell was made by the Creator God for the Devil and his angels, but now it is also a place of JUST REWARD for those humans who live on this Earth and refuse to repent of their sins and follow God's Love Commandments! What kind of a God would not hold the right to give everyone what they justly deserve in the afterlife? It would be like a country's government having no courts or jails to punish wrongdoers. That would be ridiculous! Trust me, in the 'end' we'll get what we deserve.

While I don't agree with several aspects of this, I do however have a high respect and regard for you adding the relevant scripture. What must those DO to avoid it, not just putting the fear in their hearts. We must give them a reason why they should turn away...it's to have a wonderful relationship with our Father and when we die go home to his house. Not to be destroyed forever. Amen.

...just like the Kingdom of Heaven is the state of mind ("the kingdom is within you") which leads to immortality...a loving God would not create mankind knowing that some would be tortured forever in hell.
