Evaporated milk? Authentic HK style milk tea uses condensed milk as far as I know. The taste is not the same at all and judging from the colour of your tea, it looks pretty weak sauce :P The real stuff has a stronger tea taste and is lightened and sweetened by the concentrated milk and you need not add any other kind of sugar at all (unless you like it sweeter).

@kaishaku13 That is why we called this drink HK-Style. That's what's great about cooking, it can be adjusted to meet anyone's taste and expectation. Thanks for the comment.
