@migoncat Steve Forbert? Is that you?!
-
@MogensPeralta truely spoken, but find a lake and take a swim.

Saw Steve at the Cluny in Newcastle last December (or could have been November, either way winter had started!)

This backing band is really great -- better than the album, imo

I read that Steve dedicated this song to James Honeyman Scott not long after he passed. A beautiful song dedicated to another very gifted musician. You can really feel the uglier side of the industry, listening to the sadness of the lyrics.

@Jujunater Checked out your channel and you are leaving your self wide open for some
serious hits. I am not going to do it but you should remove this unwarrented flame of a
great song about being young which is sung with serious talent.

I like seeing the latter-day Steve. He's more a musician, less mugging, doesn't seem as eager to grab the spotlight. Knowing his backstory, I am grateful for his recovery. As everybody knows, you sell your work much better when you're not splitting your pants trying to.

have always loved Steve's music. Great to see this video. Thanks for posting

Ugh. Awful sound. I grew up with Forbert and I appreciate his voice sometimes, but after a bit it gets old and grating...Im searching aroundon here for one of his songs that still warms my weary soul.

I wish I could hear that Gibson SJ
I've been trying to find this song for a long time. Thanks for posting.

You're welcome! The audio version of this track is from the live CD MERIDIAN...the studio version is, of course, from Steve's debut album ALIVE ON ARRIVAL.
