This is the full audio of the beautiful medieval antiphona: "Crucem sanctam subiit", performed by "Ensemble Organum". This piece has been found in a rare medieval manuscript from the mid XIIth century, found in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, and that's why it's linked to the Templar Knights. "Crucem sanctam subiit,
qui infernum confregit,
accinctus est potentia,
surrexit die tertia. Alleluia.
Lapidem quem reprobaverunt aedeficantes factus est caput anguli, alleluia"

"HE bore the Holy Cross,
who broke the power of hell;
He was girded with power,
He rose again the third day. Alleluia

The stone that the architects rejected became the cornerstone."

  • I would like to hear from you, my Catholic brothers, what do you think about the heresy of the Second Vatican Concilium, which turned the church into a joke, and the mass of our Lord into a mass protestant alike... what do you think about the two freemason anti-popes? (John XXIII and Paul VI) those turned the glorious church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ into a heresy that afirms that all sects and cults are the same, this sounds very "Freemason"

  • @lalungenuictdestens things, this young clergy will have overrun all the functions; they will govern, they will administer, they will judge, they will form the sovereign’s council, they will be called to choose the Pontiff who should reign. And this Pontiff, like most of his contemporaries, will be necessarily more or less imbued with the Italian and humanitarian principles that we are going to begin to put into circulation."

Sorry about the length of the comment if it of any annoyance.

  • @Killermuffin1 Not an annoyance at all! Thank you for giving this information.

  • @Killermuffin1 Au contrare, you must be very proud to have something similar to orthodox music :P

Just kidding, I am pleased to see that we still have something in common. :)

  • Près de 100000 écoutes, quel succès pour du chant monastique ! Il est vrai que Marcel Pérès et son ensemble "Organum" ont du talent !

  • Bring back the reconquista !!

  • @lalungenuictdestens And the younger, more orthodox crowd is with the Pope. :)

  • @Jesuisquejesuis I know you prob. forgot about this, but to 'attempt' an answer to your question. YES, they do sound the same, due to the location of the first 'official' Universal Church in what's now know as Istambul. The people in that regin, including Jeruselem sang (still do, somewhat) in this melisimic (sp?) fashion. The actual history behind the 'Byzantine' sound is cool

  • @adamantis4657

Thats right ! The people that choose Christ !

  • @MrBeenkar Thats right ! The people that choose Christ !

  • @MrBeenkar: CHURCH - ECCLESIA

The word Church comes from Ecclesia - the chosen ones! ECCLESIA is the body of the chosen people of God.

The Church is the mystical Body of CHRIST

  • @adamantis4657 Hello, Doesn't the word CHURCH come from the word CIRCA? meaning the CIRCLE? meaning the circle of the PEOPLE? not the Papel establishment? ie those who rule, dominate & submit! Sounds familiar? Faith is found in the cave of the heart.
