@ABItronixDirect since we have cable here does the internet go through all the cables if i hook up a separate router would it be faster?Im not so keen on wireless.

@ae106400 well, here in the US it is very similar as far as the 2 year contracts are concerned. Sounds like your second point with a Wireless router with extended antenas (or access points) to get further coverage would work. Make sure your friend allows you access by using a specific password. hey, I want to use my neighbors internet. Does this connection have a distance limitation? She lives about 100 meters away.
An alternative would be to connect another router to her existing one and put this on her roof (which is at the same level as my apartment) is this possible? I could then get the wifi signal better.
It seems a bit drastic but I'm in Taiwan and would have to sign a 2 year internet contract otherwise.

Great job guys. this is much better than buying a long pre-made network cable. or using a powerline adapter. or buying a wireless bridge.

dude i can connect to the internet on ps3 if my wifi router is in another room?
or does it have to be side by side with tthe ps3

Very good question. The PS3 WiFi usually detects your router within your home with no problems. It does not really need to be side by side with your router. Thanks for your question.
