Playing some space shooters

I have started this new series where I just play some games. I won't call it "let's play", because that is quite generic. I won't be making any 20 part playthrough of a game either. I will do something similar to what I did with my gameplay of Move and Kinect demos which are officially part of these series called "Playing some ..." which I will make more of if people like it.

i prefer your reviews, thats why i subbed, not for another LP even if you dont call it LP. thats my opinion, not trying to discourage you. anyway i think you should stick to reviews which you're good at.

Oh and you ask why child of eden is so anticipated, it's partly because of the legacy behind it. It's a spiritual successor to Rez, which like child of eden, is so much more than a shooter. Its an aesthetic experience where every action you input initiates a visual effect, a sound and a vibration which affects all of your senses at once. It's impossible to describe without game footage, so I suggest you download the demo. Child of Eden plays very similarly to Rez and is like nothing else.

@TheDumadam Well, no matter how much I look at footage of Child of Eden, I am not capable of seeing the appeal in it. No objects are definable, it's just a big light show and it reminds me more of a sequel to Baby Universe than anything else.

Interesting video, but since you started this because you wanted more views, and you only got 100 something views (as I'm writing this) are you going to continue?

@GameCrew98 I wonder why there are so few of my 3000 subscribers who actually watch my videos. But I will continue doing this, because it's a lot quicker to make than full game reviews.

@adrianmarti Of course you can't see the appeal if all you're doing is watching it. Like I said its about combining your senses and creating an experience, it needs to be played. Every action you make changes the game in slight, but noticable ways. The music changes with every action, and every action changes whats on the screen. It creates a wonderfully uniqe game which not much compares or relates to. This is why I reccomended you download the demo for Rez on XBLA, to form an acurate opinion.

Oh, and why don't you allow people to thumbs comments? I know you have "controversial" opinions, but you don't have haters, do you? I mean, I don't agree with you in several aspects, but I don't hate because of it!

I really don't want to sound so critiscising but some of your opinions on shooters are kind of messed up. With Radiant-silvergun its not defined as a space shooter. It's a bullet-hell shmup, therefore it is score-based and designed to be as difficult as possible. The perspective in it isn't as bad as you're saying I think, just changing. It's designed to be confusing on your first go and as you keep playing you begin to understand whats happening and improve your score.
