Thanks a lot .. it's really helpful

thank you sir

@matthehat Yes, it worked in FL studio
I tried the S90 XS without the MIDI cables, only the USB to HOST cable and that worked.
For my other keyboard (MIDI keyboard) I also have to insert the MIDI cables together with the USB to HOST cable.
Thanks for all the help, I appreciate!!

@koen4u Does the MIDI keyboard work in any other applications?
-
@matthehat Yep, I was able to get out Audio.
I'll try the USB to host cable without the MIDI cables, maybe that will work?
-
@koen4u Are you able to get audio out of Reason using something like ReDrum? You only need one connection to the computer, unless you;re using the USB for something like file transfers (I don;t know what the Yamaha is capable of, but my Roland Juno supports that).

The USB to MIDI interface is installed and recognised by windows. But I was not connecting the MIDI IN on the adaptor.
I tried setting it up as a basic MIDI keyboard from the 'other" category in the setup, and then choosing the USB to MIDI interface as the input, without any results.
I also have a USB to HOST cable, is that supposed to work alone or togheter with the MIDI stuff??

@koen4u Okay, first some basic diagnostics. Is the USB to MIDI interface installed and recognised by windows? If it is, are you connecting the MIDI out of the keyboard to the MIDI in on the adaptor (seems illogical, but that's how it works). Finally, have you tried setting up your keyboard as a basic MIDI keyboard from the [other] category in the setup, and then choosing the USB to MIDI interface as the input?
Hi Thanks a lot ;) this was very helpful.. I have just one question .. what can i do about the time (delay) between hitting the key on keyboard and a sound it makes? If it's the audio folder --> buffer time ,I don't get it beacouse it doesn't change a think ( the reaction is the same )

@tomseyler Hi there, basically what you need is an ASIO enabled sound card/interface. If you don't have one of these you can install ASIO4ALL and select that driver instead of Direct Sound or MME. Basically Windows can't do low latency audio on its own, it needs help from ASIO. Good luck, and happy music making!
