Cung Le first learned TKD, then Freestyle wrestling. While training in TKD, he also trained in a type of Vietnamese Kung Fu. Eventually, he got tired of TKD rules and started competing in San Shou. His technical foundation is TKD, Freestyle Wrestling, and Vietnamese Kung Fu.
