Detox Recordings' latest project takes us from Spain to the Andean mountains of Peru for a glimpse into the sounds of Dj Nash & Somiak on their latest E.P. El Cajon. This innovative project introduces listeners to a very unique mixture of tech house and Peruvian Rhythms. Dj Nash (from Madrid) and Dj Somiak (from Lima) have an eclectic sound that blends the tribal elements of Peru's folkloric music with the techno and trance sounds that have influenced them from artists like Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Safri Duo and Mauro Picotto. Dj Somiak's affinity for Andean sounds has led him to create a distinctive style combining house beats, pan flutes and other funky latin rhythms; while Dj Nash's tech house background gives their collaborations their minimal feel and dynamic punch. El Cajon E.P. is a rare and special treat that aficionados of international music and electronic dance music lovers will find fascinating.
