Channel 4 Documentary that Faisal A. Qureshi co-wrote for the Lloyds Bank Film Challenge.

Winner of the 1996 Race in the Media Award for Best Youth Programme. Nominated by the RTS in 1996 for Most Innovative Film/Video and winner of the Channel 4/Lloyds Bank Film Challenge. Directed by Ninder Billing and produced by Andy Porter and Madeline French for Compulsive Viewing.

A semi-sequel, Wimmy Road, was later written for BBC Radio Drama and was nominated for a Race in the Media Award for Best Radio Drama.

  • love the film.. thought it was quiet moving and presonal film about your culture and the festival.. well filmed and presented shame about the quality.

    i'm an art student in manchester and have decided to produce a film on the curry mile and the cultures and the thought that people have on the mile. any one that would be interested in taking part or have any comments on the idea. i would apprecate your input alot so just give me a message .. thank you ffi

  • 1996. This video's well good, still, although I definitely hear what they're saying and they're reasons for driving like that, I don't agree with it, IT'S DANGEROUS haha, but yeah really good video this.
