"japan wrestling knowledge"
This guy apparently thinks Chikara is a Japanese wrestling company. I love when people comment without even watching the video, it's amazing!

Japan? CHIKARA is in AMERICA. And for the record, CHIKARA is closer to Lucha Libre style than Japanese Puroresu. Maybe Lucharesu, but certainly not Puroresu.

Oh I understand perfectly, just dont agree with you, sorry, but a difference of opinion is minute, I just totally disagree with your 'sloppy' comment, your obvioulsy not as passionate about CHIKARA as I am, because sloppy, would be that LAST word I would use to describe it, especially when looking to get new customers into the product, have there been sloppy matches in CHIKARA? Sure have, but would I describe the product as a whole as sloppy??? FUCK NO, your review doesnt suck, description does.

Let me ask you something If you where to show someone Chikara for the first time what you would tell them about it to sell them on it. Would you tell them that it is Lucha Bassed..then what do you say when they say so is it sloppy like Lucha?
-
Also I do fallow Chikara do I have 90 DVDs no but I do have about 30 so yes I do fallow the product. Lets talk about this sloppy comment. It is sloppy when guys get LOST during a match, which does happen in Chikara, Or when guys are hitting spots and not moves. Are there guys that are GREAT at that style in Chikara yes there is but there are also guys that are just ok at it and that is where it can get sloppy at times. Is it so sloppy that I don't enjoy it, No.

However the idea to review the DVD was to get people to BUY the DVD and give Chikara more exposer if you don't talk about the fact that YES it can be seen as sloppy to someone who is use to seeing WWE,TNA or even ROH to a lesser degree you are doing a diservice. People need to understand what they are going to see. When I say Sloppy I don't mean Dangours sloppy. I mean more along the same lines that people would call RVD or Sabu sloppy back in the day. Again where did I say it was BAD?
I'm in the middle of watching this now. I really thought the first half of night 1 was extremely fun but like you said the main event was way too long considering the talent involved. Overall I can't say I'm extremely blown away so far, I know this is their biggest weekend of the year. It's pretty cool to see so much variety involved for these shows though.

.... .... ....ENTERTAINING!!! They have storylines that are more compelling and intresteing than any of these other promotions have ran in the past 3-4 years, IMO your review does nothing for CHIKARA, its great that your actually behind the product, I just think your review will get NO extra buys for the DVD's, calling it sloppy won't help bring casual fans in...plus its a LIE, Seriously go back to watching AAA/CMLL and leave the american lucha to quack & co. And leave the reviews to alvarez....

Alvarez doesnt review almost anything other than TNA or WWE I.E. he doesn't review Chikara. As far as no extra buys, I have gotten at least 50 Emails from people thinking me for recommending this as they bought the DVDs. Also casual fans for the most part aren't going to like Chikara just from the stand point of the gimmicks. Even among hardcore fans they are looked at as being behind ROH and PWG simply because people can't get past the gimmicks.

yeah, thats great that you've now told me you life story, i'll keep mine short. SLOPPY to me is a backyard fed, guys with no experience, and probably videoing the whole event on there moms camcorder, botching every spot out there, CHIKARA is'nt sloppy IMO, are there botched spots, yep, does that justify it to call it sloppy, not at all. And dont even begin to compare CHIKARA to WWE/TNA and/or ROH because its a completley different promotion, total different styles, and CHIKARA is actually .....

That is not sloppy that is yard tarding that is guys pretending to be wrestlers. MOST people would say botched spots means sloppy. Sorry if you can't understand that but it is the truth.
