@ Harbourfront Centre, Toronto

It was an interview where she talked about herself, her father and his book, Secret Carnival Workers. She also mentioned Metric and Broken Social Scene quite a few times.

This is just a little clip about one of Emily's favourite "poem" by Paul Haines.

  • wish I could get everything she talks in this video.

I´m not very good at listening to english. :/

So,if some good soul here write the definition of 'deja vu'that Emily read in the book I´d apreciate it so much, haha :)

  • I have the book she was reading from in my hands right now. this is what she read: Deja Trop Vu a tall white pine stands between me and the tree i'm trying to see also a tall white pine
  • is there more from this????

  • ..not from me at least, no.

however, there was a camera "crew" of some sort recording the whole interview.. maybe we should try e-mailing her management or harbourfront centre. either way, i hope the whole thing is available for everyone in the near future. it was really good.

  • oh, did you get that book from the show?

  • The lady speaking in the beginning heard wrong and ended up sounding not so smart.. ah well..

  • thank you so much, dude.

    :)

  • i was in charge of making sure the bottled water appeared beside her within arms reach in case a fire appeared on stage. The couch was CGI as well, designed by ILM... The tree she was talking about was actually a metaphor for something that happened in 2019 with her at the Laundromat.

  • Seriously, I was there and that woman in the audience spoke TOO much.

    Emily is a goddess.

  • I hate people who ask inane questions and make unnecessary demands on a speaker just so they can hear themselves talk

  • Thats a great way of describing dejavouz, almost gives me the same feeling
