They believe in the God of the sun, the One of the water, the river, the One of the harvest. They call him mus'a. This is not really a God, but it is a power.

Comboni Missionaries
The unbeaten tracts of North-western Ethiopia are primarily inhabited by a tribe called the Gumuz. In the past centuries the members of the tribe used to be slaves; nowadays they are living on the margins of society, cut off from civilization, forgotten by the world. The Comboni Missionary Sisters settled in the area of Mandura 10 years ago. They are striving to make the everyday life of the Gumuz people easier. They have established a kinder-garten, clinic and a garden bringing all the people closer and building a common ground where they can speak about God - a place of first evangelisation.
