A wonderful historical record for those of us new to Southsea wondering what this show was all about, now that this proved to be the last Portsmouth and Southsea Show.
Yes` I think the show could survive without the Fur and Feather tent. I would say that perhaps shows like this have had their day, but there are some really successful examples in The New Forest, The Midlands and The North. The latest I have heard is that the 2007 show will be much scaled-down if it happens at all, so maybe the Fur and Feather will disappear.
To be fair, if the trading standards took a look at the fur and feathers tent it would be closed down! All my sister's pets purchased from there died soonafer!!
Thanks for your comment. I agree and I`m worried that nothing will happen as the organisers themselves have lost interest in the show. I still think there is a lot of potential to make the show exciting, but doubt that anything will change unless the entertainment contractors change. It would be a shame to lose the show after all this time.
Thankyou. Its a shame it ended. All that was needed was a few changes and some imagination to make the show a continued success.
