you kidding!? he is doing way more than well for a 5 year old! lol he is awesome for his age. i should know cause i have a 5 yr old too and he is only doing cross rails and small verticles at the moment, we havent even ridden in the outdoor arena or trotted in the pasture yet! lol great job with your big guy.
Can i use this clip in a video im making? :)

very nice. My boy is 5 and we're just starting eventing. I"m a little nervous because he's a bit spooky at things. Do they grow out of it? I know i have to take him schooling and on trail rides to get used to things but i'm wondering if we're not going to be able to compete this summer due to him not being ready yet. Anyway, any thoughts would help! Nice video.

well, this was a while ago this horse is sold and rising 8 next year. At first he was slightly spooky but he didnt take tlong to get over it... my new horse the big chestnut chap is five and slightly different... it really depends on your experience, he is still quite spooky but ive still managed to event cus i can keep him straight enough to get round the XC but he has really improved and he just did an open course clear with not one spook!! my biggest advice would be to hack out

loads!!! and make sure you keep it fun and start small once they get the bug you'll have trouble stopping!!! good luck, try competing it might work it might not, then make ur decision on how it goes! x
