Savta Bikorta is a fictional character created by the Center for Women's Justice to help the public understand just what happens behind the closed doors of the Rabbinic courts.

  • Frankly, I don't have the stomach to watch all the "stories". One thing I know is that non of it is exaggerated. I just wish it would make the Beit Din sick enough to take better action.

  • Sarcasm and humor does not work? Maybe you can tell us what will. Nothing has for years and there are hundreds of women living as agunah. It is a stain against our community and needs to be fixed.

  • that's rather surprising- it sounds like the husband is gay, and as far as I know, when it comes to gay husbands coming out of the closet, the Rabbinic Court "one-sided"ness is turned against the husband...

And by the way, the mean way in which she talks about the coming-out of the father is offensive, and doesn't contribute anything neither to the argument, nor to the creation of sympathy to the wife.. people shpuld be free to devorce whenever they want to...

  • you schmucks with the negative comments, all of you, only ABUSIVE men won't give women a divorce!!! You should feel bad for these ABUSED and BATTERED women that the rabbinical courts retraumatize!!! Why do you feel sorry for the men doing the abusing? They are lucky no one puts them in jail! UNREAL

  • CWJ's website claims that it seeks a solution "within the rubric of Jewish Law", but I'm afraid the sarcastic attitute towards the rabbinical court in this video series belies that claim.

  • What's the guys reason for not giving his wife a divorce?

It sounds so sad. But the charming woman sounds sarcastic and one sided. I'm not sure that this movie works for your argument. It seems like it's made for the people that are on the side of the poor woman. But not really informative.

  • Good for you! כל הכבוד
