This video illustrates the steps I took to build a mash tun for homebrewing using all grain techniques. It describes the design, parts needed, and assembly. The final product supports both fly sparging and batch sparging. Anyone looking for ideas on building a mash tun will find this video helpful. More detail can be found on my blog at: myhomebrew.blogspot.com

  • @bagpiperhipple It is pretty much the same, but smaller. Take a look at my brewing video part 1 and it shows the mash tun and manifold.

  • id like to see what the 5 gallon mash tun manifold looks like

  • @JoePolvino Thanks Joe I'll look for it the next time I'm at Home Depot or Lowes. Happy Holidays !

  • Thanks for the great video Joe. I am currently planing on building a Mash Tun and I will probably use a 10 gal Rubbermaid cooler from Home Depot and but I will not be using the cooper tubbing I don't think I am ready for that step yet. I will most likely use a water supply line from and remove the inner tubbing and keep the metal parts. In the future though I may build on like yours. Thanks again. Can you post a video explaining how you made your brew pot from a keg.

  • @WatchToddPattison I forgot that it is called, but you can find it in most big box hardware stores. I think it is sometimes referred to as PVC Braid. Sorry for not listing it, the piece was just a quick add toward the end of the build!

  • @BobbyFromNJ Thanks Bobby, I noticed that as well. I ended up putting a pretty decent amount of teflon tape on the threads to address this, and your suggestion is something I may try when it is time to upgrade. Cheers!
