This year, swimming pools are required to comply with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act. This protects everyone--children and adults--from becoming stuck to the drain, underwater, and unable to free themselves. People have suffered serious injuries, and some have died from unsafe drain covers.

This video tells you what to look for so that you know that your pool, the community pool, or the swim club pool is safe for swimming.
