In the days before "We Love You" community involvement on the part of local broadcasters, Public Service Announcements were created by arts and civic groups looking for attention. TV stations would run them whenever there was an unsold slot, or late at night. The best way to get on the air was to be clever, and given arts groups' budgets, it was perhaps the only way.
To help build awareness for the Milwaukee Repertory Theater's season subscription plan, Sorgel-Lee Multimedia in Milwaukee, along with the theater's Mike Krawczyk, took this unusual approach. The talent, wonderfully stic, is William McKerhigan.
As you can imagine, only take was possible. So of course, this is the second (and final) take.
