@Theopticneuritis My mouth tasted like aluminum too after receiving it in the hospital for a collapsed lung. They shot me up with 500mg in 24hours intravenously to get my breathing normal. I havent felt the same almost two years later Wouldnt doubt if its a preservative. Aluminum is known to cause mental disorders and headaches. Ask any aluminum manufacturer. Its not fun.

Be prpared for swelling. Especially your feet. Stretchy pants, jersies, sweats, and big house shoes are your friend. If allowed by your physician, you may wish to consider keeping busy. Laundry, trash, dishes...nothing too strenuous, but, it helps to have little goals or chores through out the day. For me...stay away from HSN, catalogues, e-bay, etc, and craig's list! OMG!

Prednasone or Taper pack pre infusion. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and then off to the infusion center for 3 days of Prednasol. Drink plenty of fluids' especially the day of your infusion to make your veins nice and large for your flebotomist. If you feel nausea eat a mint. Ask your physician for nexium or something similar. I needed Zanax and Zantacs. The taper pack for 5,4,3,2, and 1 extends the speeding. Really consider no caffiene. Consider a diet suppliment.

Hi

To make a long story short , i'am 48 have ms since 3 years.

I started of with getting tingling on the whole left side, from feet to ear, having a sensation as coming from the dentist..

I went to doctor and he found nothing special (this was on a friday ) so he sent me home with some 'homeopathic junk"

on Saturday it was still the same and even worse, i found i got trouble with my vision, my wife noticed that my right eyeball did not track my left one.

Thanks for the true story. I got my dx more than 20 years ago, & tomorrow is the 1st time I'm going on this stuff (although it's at least my 5th bout of Optic Neuritis)... and I'm really unhappy. I'd rather leave it as in the past, & let it work itself out... but both my ophthal and my neuro want me on this, so... At least, thanks to you, I have a clearer idea of what it's going to be like.

I get solu-medrol for lupus. I hate it but unfortunately is necessary for people. It makes me shaky, constant tremors, it's hard to sleep if if I can fall asleep I have the weirdest dreams. It also makes me angry, have horrible hot flashes, my nose gets so red, etc. I feel for anyone else that has to take it.
