Week 2 in this Fall/Winter session of Women's Self Defense. Coach Joyce goes over a qinna/grappling classic known as the "hand wrap."
Disclaimer: Intended of educational purposes only. ChenCenter and Coach Michael Joyce assume no responsibility for injury of any kind from both the physical and verbal teachings contained herein.
REMEMBER: If you are practicing this for self protection... please be kind to your partner! This technique can easily injury someone. Go slow and have the partner cooperate with you (only at the beginning). As you understand the movements and develop a bit of sensitivity to the exercise, increase the pace/intensity.
All class/workshop/seminar teachings and self defense principles are described in my book, The Golden Thread: Essential Principles of Self Defense.

You are right, however in this class I was concentrating on helping the girls find that "sweet spot" where the technique starts to work. Her direction might be a bit off... but as she stretches downward, she achieves the desired result. In my self defense classes, I am mostly concerned with them understanding to key concepts: leverage and momentum. Thanks for your comment!
