@jacquelineholder I am like you. I am 43 with sickle cell anemia. I bought the Best of Willie Banks album from a promo on Randy Horse Allen Gospel show on WLAC in Nashville. I would listen to it when I would have a sca crisis to escape the physical pain.

Amen! I agree. I look forward to the day when some great singer will bring back that old time gospel, the kind that would raise the hairs on your head. The music that the words alone would lift your spirit. Today, it's more about the beat in the music than the words of the song. People are dancing to the musci and not listening to the words. God bless the Late Willie Banks and the Willie Banks that's yet to come.

There was more of a connection to the lord then, today people look for what the lord can do for them, instead of serving the lord and giving all praise to the lord.I thank the lord for the message he sent through willie banks and the messengers.

Willie Banks put these young boys to shame when it come to praising the name of Jesus through song. Wish I could have seen him in person

Man you can feel the holy spirit moving when you listening to this... This was the greatest gosspel singer ever

@jacquelineholder I'm 22 and my parents basically raised me up listening to music like this and I honestly can say there will never be another like this group. I cant even listen to this newer gospel because imo I get the feeling its all commercialized and not coming from the heart like these guys

hello, my name is anitra, im lookin for a song by willie banks entitled never has a friend do me like u. have u hear it? do u have it? i have been lookin for the this son g for years.
This is what Gospel use to be like. A person singing to the glory of God. But today most of the folks they call gospel singers are nothing more then singers that couldn't make it in rap or pop and they know they can make a little money if the sing songs that has the words God or amen in it, get the people a little happy and call themself stars. But put them to the test of life and watch them fold up like a house of cards. Real gospel singers like Willie was go kept going and going.

I agree! Todays so called gospel music has taken away the spiritual integrity of singing praises unto the Lord our one and only true God. Todays artist want to impact the church with the world instead of the church impacting the world.
