@southhemphunny - Hi, I used the p51 version #1, from needles4jukeboxes . Also, the pressure setting of the needle and the quality of the record is just as important. I rebuilt the amplifier and replaced all the caps, resistors where needed and replaced any questionable tubes. Another important factor is to make sure the turn table mechanism turns freely and is properly oiled. Thanks for your interest, Bob
