Just a bunch of kids having fun after school...

Filmed about 2 weeks before the US invasion of Iraq.

Late addition:
I recently asked an Iraqi friend who lives in Iraq about the children. Can they go to school? Is it safe to play soccer?
Here is the response:
"Of course they don't go to school especially for those who's parents are dead. There is nowhere safe in our country especially on the street they could got shot anytime. For those who have lost their home they are sleeping on the street and maybe to be found dead by the next day. This is the current situation in our country and I really hope the US government have got everything they want from our country by now and send the troops back home to the United states where they belong to.The sooner they got what they want the better for all of us."

  • USA is not the root of all evil. Humans are. We must also work to prevent leaders from becoming powerful. We must spread democracy, not republic government. The people must be more involved. Do not serve your leaders.

  • When a government offers you a home and food and water and healthcare and so on, be very suspciious. They will use these things they give you to later justify forcing you into service and then you will have no control over what happens.

Be also weary of a government that talks about freedom from slavery and human rights yet, a thousand miles away ignores what it has said.

  • And don't forge the children. They did not choose to be born in japan when we firebombed over a dozen cities and kill hundreds of thousands. They were given no choice. And those who were opposed to the war were killed too. The firebombing did not discriminate between our true enemy and the innocent. War, in general, is sloppy and indiscriminate and very damaging.

  • Its principle allies are the UK, Canada, Australia, France, and a few others.

But don't forget that there're billions of people in the world who disagree with us. They do not want us to determine their future. When we bomb their cities to destroy their leaders, they do not agree and will fight us to stop it.

  • The reality is america is a religious freak with cultural racism that's spreading authoritarianism and fear to expand its influence.

  • Leaders think they're better than their people. They want to win the information war. They do this by convincing us we're sheep and must follow along with them. We're dumb. We're not worth and owe them our lives.

  • Leaders are pretty much all of the same mold. Different soil, different temperature, different temperaments, but they all share same genetics. The problem happens when the people are too removed from the government. In america, for example, half of congressman are millionaires. There's a kind of ivy league in power. And there's much religious feeling that's opposed to Islam. If we allowed national polls to speak for us in 2003 then we probably would not have invaded.
