  • thanks 4 the info, very helpful... what month can we plant tomatos?

  • If your climate is warm year round and it doesn't freeze, you can plant any time. If you live in an area that freezes you need to allow yourself a min. of 75 days of warm weather. In my area I plant May 15 and harvest the end of July...first part of August.

  • Miracle-Gro? Ack! I'd skip the chemicals and go with a good organic soil w/ a compost mix.

  • I liked this video a lot. Very helpful and a very nice lady to learn from. Thank you.

  • Thank you. This was extremely helpful. I see I need a bigger pot. Hmmmm can I have success with a smaller pot? I'm afraid to transplant at this point.

  • Would you know if its possible to harvest seeds from vegetable garden for next year? I would like to take some of my green beans and snow peas and harvess the seeds for next year.

  • @SlaveOfthemostjust when the night time temps remain above 50 degrees f

  • Check out our Tomato and Veggie gardening videos on YouTube.

  • Oreo, I am talking about the liquid fertilizer once a week. Also I let the first sucker grow so I get two vertical stalks and pull all other suckers. You can even put a mirical grown liquid canister inline with your watering hose and just fill it once a week.

  • @MrJonly45 I live in New Jersey and summers are hot.. not as hot as Cali but still hot. Is direct sun light okay for 10 hours a day for the plant as long as I water them? And what do you mean by Miracle Grow once a week? You change the soil once a week? Or you just add some more once a week?

  • I grow the Celebrity tomato in containers and have great crops, I use 4 gallon mayonaise buckets that I get for free from a local restaurant. I enrich the soil each year and use a timer on a drip system. Miracle Grow once a week and lots of sunshine.

  • really good tips, and I will save this video to refer to for next year. While I removed suckers from our plants, I probably added too much fertilizer as we received too much foliage! Also, don't water your plants too much or the fruit will stay green.

    Great video. Great info. Thanks!
