Where a gathering of church/religious preacher/organiser set up huts/stores to promote their various charity etc...

What you've witnessed is truly an ironic sight beyond your FAITH... This is why I don't believe in Religion nor charitable organisation or groups that promises to help those in needs.

How can you expect to fix world problems when YOU CAN'T EVEN HELP YOUR FELLOW LOCAL homeless...

i respect ur message and principle that ur trying to put out here..but clearly the reason he was not helped is because hes not a legitimate homeless. Which real homeless person wears a champion beanie? which homeless person has a fitness first bag? he was quite well dressed and not even dishevelled..anyone can write up a sign and sit down in martin place infront of a religious convention in order to hope for pity..besides begging is tax free.

I dont advocate or preach religion, im simply saying that you have never seen what the world has to offer. If you have ever been to China there are fake beggars everywhere these people seem to be very legitimate having temendously sad stories of how they have become homeless, yet they go home to something which is far from 'homeless'.

What they doing there is the commercialisation of religion its wrong but at the end of the day why attack religion? Have they stole from you?

Yes, homeless can have gifts, usually they either had it before they became homeless and decide to keep it or because the people were generous enough to give as a gift. its sad and unfortunate. all these "righteous" people of faith too busy patting themselves on the backs and putting money in the pockets of solicitors to notice the quite homeless dude sitting on the sidewalk. what a fuckin bummer dude. i guess god didnt see fit to "put it on their hearts" to maybe, i dont know... buy the guy a fuckin sandwich or something? fucking people.

Yeah, who cares if he is fake or not. I doubt everyone KNEW he was faking it. Obviously the person who posted this thought the man was actually homeless.

Someone could have at least offered him some form of help. I'd wager a lot of those churches and organizations are affiliated or acquainted with shelters or various social organizations. You don't have to just throw a wad of cash at someone to help them.

So we don't know if he is a fake or not? Does that absolve us from ALL responsibility to tend to the homeless and feed the hungry as Jesus instructed? Yes, there will be fakes out there. But there are REAL situations too. Don't be jaded by the opportunists in this world and color everyone with the same brush. If you do, you will miss completely what it means to be a Jesus-follower.
